In line with its mission to enhance interactions among scientific and research organizations and economic sector, ISTT co-organized and sponsored the Science and Technology Exchange Program (STEP) section of Mustafa International Award festival in ISTT with the attendance of top scientists from 40 Islamic countries.
The STEP was held to identify and introduce the scientific and technological capabilities of the Islamic countries and to emphasize on the importance of S&T in the Islamic world. Top scientists and researchers made speeches during this program and 3 specialized scientific panels were held in STEP program in the first day of Mustafa Festival.
The Head of the Strategic Technology Development Center of Vice-Presidency for Science & Technology, scientists from the Islamic world and President of the Science and Technology Town (Dr. Ghasem Moslehi) were among the speakers in STEP Program. In his speech, ISTT President expressed readiness to transfer knowledge and experiences in the management of Technology Incubators and Science and Technology Parks to those Islamic countries which are in the early stages of setting up science and technology parks.
The achievements of Isfahan Science and Technology Town and the capabilities of the knowledge-based and technology companies were elaborated upon by the Director of ISTT's International & Scientific Cooperation (Mozhgan Yazdianpour), in the 3rd panel, highlighting the readiness of ISTT & IRIS to share its experiences in the development of science and technology parks in Islamic countries.
The 3 panels were held on the topics “Opportunities of STI Networking”, “Elites Management” and “Development of Emerging and Innovative Technologies in the Islamic World with a Look at Science and Technology Parks Role”.
The attending scientists were also taken on a tour to visit 11 prominent tenant companies in ISTT in different fields including health and medical equipment, chemistry, biology and biotechnology, ICT, AI, environment, energy, humanities and economics.
